Interview with Robert Williams conducted for America, They Loved You Madly, a precursor to Eyes on the Prize. No known picture element exists for this interview. Discussion centers on integration campaigns in Monroe, North Carolina, Ku Klux Klan violence against the movement, and support for armed self-defense among civil rights activists.
The original interview element, 1/4" audio reel to reel, was preserved during 2010-2016 due to the generosity of a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Thanks to a grant from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC), the original 1/4" element was digitized to create 24-bit 96kHz .wav preservation file. Access files are mp3 files. Picture is believed lost.
