Interview with Robert Williams conducted for America, They Loved You Madly, a precursor to Eyes on the Prize. Discussion centers on integration campaigns in Monroe, North Carolina, Ku Klux Klan violence against the movement, and support for armed self-defense among civil rights activists.
The original interview element, 1/4" audio reel to reel, was preserved during 2010-2016 due to the generosity of a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Thanks to a grant from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC), the original 1/4" element was digitized to create 24-bit 96kHz .wav preservation file. Access files are mp3 files. Picture is believed lost.
