Know all men by these presents that we James Robinson & Sylvia
Robinson, of the State of Mifsouri , County of St Louis as principals andRobertAlexander Hamilton of said
County and State as security, are held and firmly bound unto the
State of Mifsouri in the just and full sum of two hundred dollars for
the payment of which sum well and truly to be made we bind ourselves
our heirs and legal representativesWitness our hands and seals this fifth day of May in
the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and forty three_The condition of the above obligation is such that
whereas the County Court of the County of Saint Louis did on the third
day of May eighteen hundred and forty three grant license to the said
Sylvia Robinson _ to reside in the State of Mifsouri under the
provisions of an act entitled "an act more effectually to prevent
free persons of color from entering into the State and for other
purposes" approved Feb. 23, 1843 _ Now if the said Sylvia
Robinson _ shall be of good behavior as required by said
