Filmed interview with Andrew Young conducted for Eyes on the Prize. Discussion centers on the the civil rights campaigns in Albany, Birmingham, and Selma. He also discusses his work in SCLC and his working relationships with other members of that organization, including Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The original interview elements, 16mm negative and 1/4" audio reel to reel, were preserved during 2010-2016 due to the generosity of a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. As part of an internal process, the preserved film were digitized to create 10-bit uncompressed SD files and the preserved full coat magnetic elements were digitized to create 24-bit 96kHz .wav files. The picture and audio were then reassembled at the Film & Media Archive.
