                    <p>Know all men by these presents that we <persName>Nancy <lb/>
                        Evans</persName> formerly <persName>Nancy Hanah</persName> as principal and <persName>Robert Kyle</persName> 
                  <lb/>
                        as security, are held and firmly bound unto the State <lb/>
                        of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice> in the sum of Two Hundred Dollars each <lb/>
                        for the payment of which we bind ourselves our <lb/>
                        heirs executors and administrators firmly by these <lb/>
                        presents sealed with our seals this <date when="1843-10-03">3 day of October <lb/>
                        1843</date> the condition of the above obligation is such <lb/>
                        that whereas the County Court for the city of St <lb/>
                        Louis has this day granted the above <persName>Nancy Evans</persName> 
                  <lb/>
                        formerly <persName>Nancy Hanah</persName> a free woman of Color a <lb/>
                        a license to reside in the State of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice> the <lb/>
                        said <persName>Nancy Evans</persName> formerly <persName>Nancy Hanah</persName> shall be <lb/>
                        of good behaviour during her residence in <lb/>
                        the State of <choice>

                  </choice> this obligation is to be <lb/>
                        null and void otherwise to remain in <lb/>
                        full force and virtue
