                        prinipal, and<lb/>

                     <persName>Edward C Blackburn</persName>
                  </seg> as
                        securities,<lb/> are held and firmly bound unto the State of Missouri, in
                        the just and<lb/> full sum of <seg rend="form-fill-in">Five</seg>hundred
                        Dollars, lawful money of the<lb/> United States, for the payment of which we
                        bind ourselves, our heirs, executors<lb/> and administrators, firmly by
                        these presents, sealed with our seals, and<lb/> dated this <seg rend="form-fill-in">
                     <date when="1853-08-04">4th</date>
                  </seg> day of
                        <date when="1853-08-04">
                     <seg rend="form-fill-in">August</seg> A.D.

                  </date>
               </p>
                    <p>The condition of the above Obligation is such, that whereas, the said<lb/>
                        <seg rend="form-fill-in">
                     <persName>Coleman</persName>
                  </seg> has
                        applied to the County Court<lb/> of St. Louis County for, and obtained a
                        license to reside in the State of<lb/> Missouri, during good behavior: Now,
                        if the said applicant shall be of<lb/> good character and behavior during
                            <seg rend="form-fill-in">his</seg> residence in the State of Missouri,
                        <lb/> then this obligation to be void, else of full force and virtue.
