                    <p>Know all men by these presents that we <persName>Richard</persName>

                        as principal and <persName>Edwin Ellis</persName> &amp; <persName>Henry Von Phul</persName>

                        securities are held and firmly bound unto the state of <lb/>

                  </choice> in the sum of one thousand Dollars, for the pay- <lb rend="hyphen"/>
                        ment of which we bind ourselves our heirs executors &amp; <lb/>
                        administrators firmly by these presents. sealed &amp; dated this <lb/>
                        <date when="1846-12-10">10<hi rend="superscript">th</hi> day of December 1846</date> _

                    <p>The condition of this obligation is such that whereas <lb/>
                        the said <persName>Richard</persName> _ has obtained a license <lb/>
                        to reside in the state of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice>, during good behavior, Now <lb/>
                        if the said <persName>Richard</persName> _ shall be of good be <lb rend="hyphen"/>
                        havior during his residence in this state then this bond <lb/>
                        to be void else of full effect.
