                    <p>Know all men by these presents that we <persName>

                        A S. Bohannon</persName> as security are held &amp; firmly bound, unto the State of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>

                        in the final sum of four hundred dollars, for the payment of which <lb/>
                         sum well &amp; truly to be made &amp; done. The said <persName>Epps</persName> as principal &amp; said<lb/>
                        Bohannon as Security hereby bind themselves, their heirs Executors<lb/>
                        Administrators firmly by these presents, Sealed with their seals _ dated<lb/> 
                     this <date when="2012-05-03">3 </date> May AD 1843__Now the condition of this bond is such that whereas<lb/>
                        the County Court of Saint Louis County, in said State <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice> hath granted<lb/>
                        license to the above bounder <persName>

                        <orig>Jefse</orig>
                        
                     </choice> Epps</persName>
