                    <p>Know all men by those presents that<lb/>
                    we <persName>Henry Beard</persName> as principal and <persName>William<lb/>
                    Cohen</persName> as security are held + firmly bound<lb/>
                    unto the state of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice> in the sum of <lb/>
                    two hundred dollars each, that is to say<lb/>
                    the said <persName>Henry Bears</persName> as principal in<lb/>
                    the sum of two hundred dollars and the <lb/>
                    said <persName>William Cohen</persName> as security in the<lb/>
                    sum of two hundred dollars for the true<lb/>
                    payment of which sums well &amp; truly to<lb/>
                    be made the said <persName>Henry</persName> as principal<lb/>
                    and the said <persName>William Cohen</persName> as security<lb/>
                    hereby bind themselves their heirs executors<lb/>
                    &amp; administrators firmly by these presents<lb/>
                    sealed with their seals &amp; dated this <date when="1843-05-04">fourth<lb/>
                    day of May AD 1843</date>
               </p>
                    <p>Now the condition of this bond is such<lb/>
                    that whereas the county court of St.Louis<lb/>
                    County hath granted to the above<lb/>
                    bounden <persName>Henry</persName> a <sic>Lisense</sic> to reside +<lb/>
                    remain in the State of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                  </choice> 
                  <sic>acording</sic>
                  <lb/>
                    to the form of the statute in such case<lb/>
                    made &amp; provided__</p>
                    <p>Now if said Henry shall be of good<lb/>
                    behaviour whil he remains in said state<lb/>
                    then this bond to be voide otherwise to<lb/>
                    remain in full force</p>
