                    <p>Know all men by these Presents, that we, <persName>Fanny <lb/>
                        Parker</persName> _ (a woman of Colour) as principal, and <persName>Samuel <lb/>
                        Conway</persName> as security, are held, and firmly bound, unto <lb/>
                        the State of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice> in the sum of One Thousand Dollars <lb/>
                        for the payment of which we bind ourselves, our Executors <lb/>
                        Administrators, and Assigns, firmly by these presents. <lb/>
                        Sealed with our seals, and dated this <date when="1846-12-14">fourteenth day of <lb/>
                        December A.D. One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty six</date> _
                    </p>
                    <p>The Condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas <lb/>
                        the said <persName>Fanny Parker</persName> has this day obtained a license <lb/>
                        from the County Court of St Louis County, and State of <lb/>
                        <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice> to reside within the limits of the said State of <lb/>
                        <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice>, as long as she shall be of good behaviour, under <lb/>
                        the provisions of an act entitled "An act concerning Free <lb/>
                        negroes and mulattoes," Approved <date when="1845-03-26">March 26<hi rend="superscript">th</hi> 1845</date>.
                    </p>
                    <p>Now if the said <persName>Fanny Parker</persName>_ shall, so long <lb/>
                        as she resides within the limits of the said State of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice> 
                  <lb/>
                        be of good behaviour, towards all the Citizens of said state <lb/>
                        as well as towards all other people, and well and truly <lb/>
                        comply with the provisions of said act, then this bond <lb/>
                        shall be null and void, otherwise to remain in full <lb/>
                        force and effect.
