                  </unclear> the said defendant heretofore <unclear rend="written" unit="chars">
                     <supplied>to wit</supplied>
                  </unclear>, on the <date when="1842-03-01">first day of March in
                            the year eighteen hundred forty two</date> with force and arms at the
                        County aforesaid, <unclear rend="written" unit="chars"/> of south upon him
                        the said plaintiff and then and there heart, <unclear rend="written" unit="chars">
                     <supplied>bruised</supplied>
                  </unclear>
                  <lb/> and illtreated the said plaintiff and <unclear rend="strikethrough" unit="chars"/> then<lb/> and there imprisoned the
                        said plaintiff and<lb/> then and there kept <unclear rend="written" unit="chars">
