                    <p>Know all men by these presents that we <persName>Martin Griffin</persName>
                  <lb/>
                    as principal and <persName>Robert N Hannah</persName> &amp; <persName> Edward Berry</persName>
                  <lb/>
                    securities are held and firmly bound unto the state of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice>
                  <lb/>
                    in the sum of one thousand Dollars, the payment of which<lb/>
                    we bind ourselves our heirs executors and administrators firmly<lb/>
                    by these presents, Sealed with our seals and dated this <date when="1846-12-10">10<lb/>
                    day of December 1846</date>
               </p>
                    <p>The Condition of the above obligation is such that, whereas the<lb/>
                    said <persName>Martin Griffin</persName> has applied for and obtained a<lb/>
                    license to reside in the state of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice> during good be<lb/>
                        havior, now if the said <persName>Griffin</persName>_______ shall be of good<lb/>
                    behavior during his residence in the state of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice> then<lb/>
                    this obligation to be of no effect, else of full force &amp;<lb/>
                    effect.</p>
