                        Hundred dollars to me in hand paid the receipt of which sum I hereby <lb/>
                        acknowledge do hereby Emancipate and set free for ever from servitude <lb/>
                        my Slave <persName>Daniel</persName> aged about Forty Years.

                        personally appeared <persName>M. Brotherton</persName> and <persName>Tho<hi rend="superscript">s</hi> G. Settle</persName> two credible <lb/>

                        Proceedings of the Court of that day.
