                    <p>Know all men by these presents that <lb/>
                        I <persName>Nancy Anderson</persName> as principal and <persName>Archibald <lb/>
                        Gamble</persName> as security are held and firmly bound <lb/>
                        unto the State of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice> in the sum of four <lb/>
                        hundred dollars that is to say the say the said <lb/>
                        <persName>Nancy Anderson</persName> in the sum of two hundred <lb/>
                        dollars and the said <persName>Archibald Gamble</persName> in the <lb/>
                        sum of two hundred dollars to the payment <lb/>
                        whereof we hereunto bind ourselves_
                    </p>                   
                    <p>The condition of the above obligation <lb/>
                        is such that whereas the said <persName>Nancy <lb/>
                        Anderson</persName> has been this day licensed by <lb/>
                        the county Court of theCounty of S'Louis <lb/>
                        to reside in this State as provided by <lb/>
                        Law Now if the said <persName>Nancy Anderson</persName> 
                  <lb/>
                        shall be of good behavior then this <lb/>
                        obligation to be void else to remain <lb/>
                        in full force
                    </p>
                    <p>Given under our hands &amp; <lb/>
                        seals at S Louis this <date when="1843-05-03">3<hi rend="superscript">rd</hi> day of May <lb/>
