                    <p>2 And for a further plea in this behalf the said<lb/> defendant says, that

                        thereof against<lb/> him said defenadant because he says, that he<lb/>
                       the said defendant in the saith day of

                        defendat, in the promissory note specified he<lb/> did met and truly pay up

                        the said plaitiff, before and at the<lb/> time of the Commenement of this
