                    <p>Know all men by these presents that we <lb/>
                        <persName>Hardin Finley </persName>as principal and <persName>Charles<lb/>
                        G. Chesley</persName> as security are held and firmly <lb/>
                    bound unto the State of Missouri in the sum <lb/>
                        of two hundred Dollars each that is to say that<lb/>
                        the said <persName>Hardin Finley</persName> as principel in the <lb/>
                    sum of two hundred dollars and the said<lb/>
                        security in the sum of two hundred dollars<lb/>
                    for the true payment of which  sum well<lb/>
                    and truly to be make the said <persName>Hardin Finley</persName>
                  <lb/>
                        as principal and the said <persName>Charles G. Chesley</persName>
                  <lb/>
                    as security hereby bind themselves their heirs<lb/>
                    executors and administrators firmly by these<lb/>
                    presents with their seals and dated this <lb/>
                    <date>fourth day of May A.D. 1843</date>
                    Now the conditionof this bond is such that <lb/>
                        whereas the County Court of St. Louis County<lb/>
                    hath granted a license to the above bounder <lb/>
                    <persName>Hardin Finley</persName> a license to reside and re<lb/>
                    main in the State of Missouri according to<lb/>
                    the statute in such case made and provided<lb/>
                    Now if said <persName>Hardin Finley</persName> be of good be-<lb/>
                    havior while he remain in the State of Miss<lb/>
                    ouri then this bond to be void, otherwise to <lb/>
                    remain in full force and virtue</p>
