                    <p>Know all men by these presents that we <persName>Chloe <lb/>
                        Ann Patterson</persName> as principal and <persName>Jacob Rosenbaum</persName> 
                  <lb/>
                        &amp; <persName>Louis DuBreuil</persName> as securities are held &amp; firmly <lb/>
                        bound unto the state of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice>, in the just &amp; full <lb/>
                        sum of One thousand Dollars, for the payment of which <lb/>
                        well &amp; truly to be made we bind ourselves, our heirs <lb/>
                        &amp; legal representatives, sealed with our seals and <lb/>
                        dated at St Louis this <date when="1846-12-05">5<hi rend="superscript">th</hi> day of December AD 1846</date>
                    </p>
                    <p>The Condition of the above obligation is such that <lb/>
                        whereas the County Court for the County of <lb/>
                        St Louis did on the <date when="1846-12-09">9<hi rend="superscript">th</hi> day of December <lb/>
                        AD 1846</date>, grant to the said <persName>Chloe Ann</persName> 
                  <lb/>
                        a license to reside in the State of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice>. Now <lb/>
                        if the said <persName>Chloe Ann</persName> shall be of good <lb/>
                        behaviour and deport <sic>himself</sic> as an orderly Citizen <lb/>
                        then this obligation to be void otherwise to remain <lb/>
                        in full force &amp; virtue
