Roberts</persName> as security are held & firmly bound <lb/> unto the State of <choice> <orig>Mifsouri</orig> </choice> in the sum of two hun- <lb rend="hyphen"/> dred dollars each, that is to say the said <persName>Lewis <lb/> Reynolds</persName> as principal in the sum of two hundred <lb/> dollars and the said <persName>Zachens N. Roberts</persName> as <lb/> security in the sum of two hundred dollars for <lb/> the true payment of which sums well & truly to be <lb/> made the said <persName>Lewis</persName> as principal and the <lb/> said <persName>Zachens N. Roberts</persName> as security hereby bind <lb/> themselves their heirs, executors & administrators <lb/> firmly by these presents sealed with their seals <lb/> and dated this <date when="1843-05-04">fourth day of May AD 1843</date>. </p> <p>Now the condition of this Bond is such <lb/> that whereas the County Court of St Louis <lb/> County hath granted to the above bounden <lb/> <persName>Lewis</persName> a license to reside & remain in the <lb/> State of <choice> <orig>Mifsouri</orig> </choice> according to the statute in such <lb/> case made & provided.
