Charles Sanguinette Complains of Edward Hempstead administrator of all singular the goods chattels nights, and credits of Meriwether Lewis in a that he to him the sum of One hundred & Seventy Five Dollars. Lawful money of the United States which the said Lewis to him in his life time farther where as the said Lewis at the Town of District of Saint Louis - on the Twenty fourth day of August in the Year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and nine, by one certain Obligatory-sealed with the seal or several of the said Lewis of by him signed- the date whereof is the same of year last , where by he acknowledges to owe the plaintiff the sum of One hundred Seventy five dollars, payable the first day of October then next for value received.

the said Lewis in his life time nor the said administrator since his decease have not paid the said sum of money to the plaintiff though after requested to his Damage Two Hundred Dollars - Wherefor he sees.
