                  </persName>, a woman<lb/> of color respectfully represents, that she is held<lb/> as a slave in the county aforesaid by one D. Franklin<lb/> Knox, who claims her as his property - but petitioner<lb/> belives that she is entitled to freedom, and states<lb/> as her ground to freedom, the following facts - that<lb/> in the year <date when="1842">eighteen hundred and forty two</date>, then being<lb/> the property of said <persName>
