                    <p>Know all men by these presents, that we <persName>Edward <lb/>
                    Dickinson</persName>as principal and <persName>Henry Morgan</persName> as security, are<lb/>
                        held and firmly bound unto the State of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice> in the<lb/>
                        sum of two hundred Dollars to be well and truly paid<lb/>
                        unto the said State of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice> to which payment well<lb/>
                        and truly made, we do bind ourselves, our heirs, exec=<lb rend="hyphen"/>
                            utors and adminsitrators and each and every of<lb/>
                        them firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals and<lb/>
                        dated this <date when="1843-05-02">second day of May Eighteen hundred and<lb/>
                        forty=three</date>_The condition of this obligation is such<lb/>
                        that where as the County Court for the County of St. Louis<lb/>
                        have this day granted as the said <persName>Edward Dickenson</persName>
                        a license set aside within this state__Now therefore<lb/>
                        if the said <unclear unit="chars" quantity="6" rend="strikethrough"/> Edward Dickinson during his<lb/>
                        residence in the State of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice> shall well deport<lb/>
                        and conduct himself, in an honest, moral and sober<lb/>
                        manner, as a good and orderly citizen of said<lb/>
                        state, then this obligation is then void, otherwise to<lb/>
                        remain in full force and effort in law</p>
