                    <p>Know all men by these presents that we <lb/>
                        <persName>Patrick Jamison</persName> as principal and <persName>Duncan S <lb/>
                        Carter</persName> as security, are held and firmly bound <lb/>
                        unto the State of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice> in the sum of Two <lb/>
                        hundred Dollars to the payment of which we bind <lb/>
                        ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators <lb/>
                        and each and very of them firmly by these presents
                    </p>
                    <p>Sealed with our seals and dated this <date when="1843-05-03">third <lb/>
                        day of May in the year eighteen hundred and <lb/>
                        forty three</date>_ The condition of this obligation <lb/>
                        is such_ That whereas on the <date when="1843-05-02">second day of <lb/>
                        May of the year above written</date> the County Court of <lb/>
                        the County of St Louis and State of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>

                        granted to the said <persName>Patrick Jamison</persName>
