                    <p>Know all men by these presents, that I <persName>Vilet Jackson</persName> 
                  <lb/>
                        as principal and <persName>Augustin Kennedy</persName>_ as <lb/>
                        security are held and firmly bound unto the <lb/>
                        State of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice> in the penal sum of <lb/>
                        Four Hundred dollars for the payment <lb/>
                        of which sum well and truly to be made <lb/>
                        the said <persName>Vilet Jackson</persName> as principal and the <lb/>
                        said <persName>Augustin Kennedy</persName> as security hereby <lb/>
                        bind themselves, their heris, executors and <lb/>
                        administrators, firmly by these presents, sealed <lb/>
                        with their seals and dated this <date when="1843-05-02">second day <lb/>
                        of May A.D. 1843</date> Now <lb/>
                        the Condition of this Bond is such that whereas <lb/>
                        the County Court of Saint Louis County hath <lb/>
                        granted to the above bounden <persName>Vilet Jackson</persName> 
                  <lb/>
                        a license to reside and remain in the State <lb/>
                        of <choice>
                     <orig>Mifsouri</orig>
                     
                  </choice> according to the Statute in such <lb/>
                        case made and provided _ Now if the <lb/>
                        said <persName>Jackson Vilet</persName>_ shall be of good be- <lb rend="hyphen"/>
                        -havior while she remains in said State, then <lb/>
                        this bond to be void, otherwise to remain in <lb/>
                        full force _
