                     <supplied> whom the said defendante <supplied rend="strikethrough"/> and the tenth day of September <lb/> in year eighteen hundre and fifty four made on assault upon the said plaintiff <unclear/> county aforesaid <lb/> and then and there imprisoned beat Bruised and <lb/> illtreated him the said <supplied rend="strikethrough">aforesaid</supplied> plantiff and kept and <lb/> detained her in prison that and then without any <lb/> reasonable or probable cause whatever for a a long <lb/> span of time towit for the span of tweleve hours <lb/> then and following contrary to the law of the <unclear/> 
                        <lb/> state and against the will of the said plaintiff <lb/> and the said plaintiff further owns that she the <lb/> said plantiff before and at the time of the committing <lb/> of the said <supplied rend="strikethrough"/> grievance was and still is a free <lb/> person and that the said defendant then <lb/> and</supplied>
