                  <lb/> and since the sale to Dr. Bonnett she the plff<lb/> has been put in possession of Lynch and<lb/> Tooley &amp; the defendant in this suit who now has<lb/> her in possession and holds her as a slave and<lb/> various other persons all negro and slave traders<lb/> and dealers and to all of whom except the deft<lb/> in this suit plff has been informed she had been<lb/> sold and pretended sales all being made with a<lb/> view as plff believes to annoy and perplex her and<lb/> thereby make her abandon her suit for freedom<lb/> against the aforesaid <persName>

               <p>that she has received much other bad<lb/> treatment and abuse from some of the<lb/> persons who have had her in possession<lb/> such as confinement in their negro yards<lb/> or jails and while in said yards or<lb/> jails refusing to let her all her <unclear rend="written" unit="chars">

               <p>Plaintiff also states that she has two<lb/> children one about three years old<lb/> named <persName>

                  <lb/> both born since the time at which she was<lb/> brought to this State by the aforesaid Bryson<lb/> Stilwell which children and as she believes entitled<lb/> to freedom and are free because she was a<lb/> free person herself at the time said children were born and the aforesaid children<lb/> are now in possession of and held as<lb/> slaves by the defendant in this suit and<lb/> the plaintiff asks for her children as well<lb/> as herself the tender consideration of the<lb/> Court and that such order and proceedings<lb/> be made and had in the premises as to the Court may deem<lb/> fit and proper.<lb/> And plaintiff now asks for<lb/> herself and her said children in consideration<lb/> of their many wrongs and grievances and their<lb/> so ignorant and unprotected <unclear rend="written" unit="chars">
