John H Andrews Sheriff of St Louis County, in open Court, acknowledges the execution of a deed by him
as such Sheriff in favor of James Taussig for all the right, title, interest, claim, estate and property of
Adam Diefenbach in and to the following described real estate, to wit; a certain lot of ground lying and
being in John B Lesperance's addition to the City of St Louis, being lot number eight in block no one of
said addition, containing twenty four 8/12 feet front on Carondelet Avenue, and running eastwardly in depth
to an alley; bounded North by lot number seven, South by lot number nine, eastwardly by said alley and
West by Carondelet Avenue; it being the same lot of ground which the said Adam Diefenbach acquired
of Heinrich Freihaus and wife by deed dated th 1853's Office of
St Louis County in book S No 6 on page 4; sold under and by virtue of an execution issued from the
Office of the Clerk of the St Louis Circuit Court returnable to the September Term 1861 of said Court
in favor of Franz Henry Peunne and against Michael Diefenbach, Casper Schmetter and Adam Diefenbach.
Come the plaintiffs by their attorney, and file a petition for an order for the
production of books and after due consideration thereof, It is ordered by the
Court that the defendants produce the following named books of the St Louis
Marine Railway and Dock Company, to wit; the Ledger, the Journal and the Cash Book of said
Company and the book in which the minutes of the proceedings of the Board of Directors of said Com-
pany are recorded, in Court on the trial of this cause or show cause to the contrary. On motion of the
plaintiffs, it is ordered that a subpoena duces tecum issue against James Meegan requiring him to pro-
duce said books in Court upon the trial of this Cause.
By leave of Court first had and obtained plaintiff files an amended petition
herein making the following named parties defendants, to wit; Henry Kayser,
Arthur W Elliott, William Sigerson, Thomas Cole, Eliza Cole, Sally Y Cole,
and William H Cole. Cause continued.
The motion to set aside the judgment herein being heard and fully considered by the
Court is overruled.

and the Court finds from said answer that the defendants are indebted to the plaintiffs in the sum
of Seven Thousand four hundred and four dollars and sixty three cents. It is therefore considered
by the Court that the plaintiffs recover of the defendants the debt aforesaid as found and also their
costs herein expended and have execution therefor.
